Jeremy, welcome to G4T INK! We’re so excited to have the opportunity to introduce you to readers and share what you’re doing.

Q: How has your past shaped the passion you have to live a healthy lifestyle?

A: My Mom laid the foundation through example by taking me to the YMCA. When I was old enough, I began lifting weights and became proactive with my own health. I won a scholarship to play soccer in college and noticed peers coming to me a lot for fitness advice, especially how to lift weights properly. Soon after, I started traveling the world with my modeling career.

Q: When you speak with teens, what are their main health concerns?

A: I speak mostly with young guys who want to put on muscle and be stronger. I encourage them to train their whole body beginning with building good core strength along with exercises that will improve balance, speed, and agility. With these routines they excel at whatever sport they are in without injuries that happen due to poor training because of repetitive movements and overworking muscle groups. Youth fitness camps, circuit training, and boot camps for both girls and guys is a great place to start a healthy lifestyle.

Q: What exciting things happen when you teach people health and serving others go hand-in-hand?

A: People have revelation that instead of exercising for themselves or what the media says is beautiful- the focus is on others. Jesus said in Matthew 19:19 to “love your neighbor as yourself.” When people feel healthy, they have a greater capacity to serve others which brings glory to God. If you are overweight, your capacity to serve is limited. Being fit allows you to stand in the gap when others can’t. I am so blessed that God has given me the desire to be healthy, because from this place, I am able to use my strength to serve Him wholeheartedly.

Q: Tell us about your new show Real Strength. What are your hopes for your viewers as they tune in?

A: I pray the viewers will be inspired to get fit and get involved. Proverbs 11:25 says, “A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed”. (NIV) I see Real Strength as a way to showcase how people are refreshing others. Our pilot episode highlights Challenge Aspen, an organization whose top ski coaches share their fitness and training knowledge with disabled athletes in a recreational and competitive setting. In future episodes we’ll stand-up paddle board, scuba dive, and more -all incorporating serving others. Check it out!
